What are my options
I've been deliberating about freeing my baby. You can look at this page: http://www.gpatmac.us/SubaruPics/Pat...?1100403207164 to see what she's made of (the bottom right pic is a link to more pics of the engine block swap.)
Anyhow, IF (BIG IF) I should decide to try and sell it, what are my options? Should I strip her in order to try and get some of my money back? Should I go so far as reinstalling the EJ20 shortblock in her? Is the car unique enough that it would sell as-is on it's own merits? I know the answer already, but what about parting it out and trying to trade it in?
I realize that the most rational answer is to keep it, since those sunk costs that I have paid to make the car so unique are in fact 'sunk'...hence more or less gone forever. This is just a query. Any advice is appreciated, smart remarks ignored.
Thanks

well, if you were thinking of getting an sti ... i'd say your best bet would be taking out the usdm ej25, sti 6 spd and swapping in the stock components. if you still have the vf 39 for the stock sti .. try selling the sti block with the vf 39 .. and ssell the fp green sperately. and as far as exterior, interior mods ... try putting in all the stock parts .. cause i;ve worked at a subaru dealership before .. and they dont give a *** what mods you have on your car .. so it'd just be a waste of money .. so you should part the cosmetics and sell them seperately. there's my 2 cents ... buh i still say keep it!!!! it's sooo damn nice and soo damn one of a kind ... keeep it!!!!!

Thanks very much. That's exactly the sort of response I was hoping for.
And, much of the stuff I intended on putting into whichever car I might buy (Legacy GT or STi).
BUT!!!! As far as being on the fence, I'm still on the side of keeping it. I really do love my car. It's just that it has unintentionally turned into something that is difficult for me to race. I've already broken it (hence 6mt
) and that is a hard trauma to think of going through again.
Thanks again.

Well, I got the green light to buy some pistons. I think I'll buy a new clutch as well...maybe a flywheel. Maybe some rims.
The thing is a money pit, I tell you!
