JDM 6 speed problems help!
Ok so my 02 wrx has been broke down since late december due to tranny problems, I finally got my jdm speed last week. When I removed my stock tranny I found I had a problem, my stock Front cv shafts had the female side of the splines and my new 6 speed was also a female spline.
So now I need to find out what cv shafts I need to make this work I am hoping to avoid changing the hubs. I bought some 05 sti cv shafts hoping that they may work, they fit the tranny but they will not fit my stock hubs correctly the spline is shorter on the sti shafts than the stock wrx ones (there are a few other diffrences that are hard to explain if some one wants pics i will try and get them). I am not sure what else to do. It seems my only possibilliy is to chang the hubs, but aren't the 05 sti hubs a diffrent lug patern than the wrx? meaning i would have to run 2 diffrent bolt pattern wheels. would my 05 cv shafts work on the 04 hubs so I would have the right lug pattern? Also would I then have to use the brembo brakes? This has turned in to a much bigger project than I anticipated I really want my car back please help!
Thanks,
Nathan

You are missing a part of transmission. Those output shafts, should have came with the tranny. You need to get the number off the tranny, and have someone order you the output shafts from Japan. There are few different versions of them, as SureTrack and Non SureTrack trannys have different shafts. You will also need c-clips and differential bearing cup seals.

so you sayin there should be a shaft that goes into the front diff and then the cv shafts slip over this shaft? and I would then use the stock wrx cv shafts?
Here are the numbers I got off the tranny 005153 E3-TY856WB1CA
Thanks,
Nathan
