Dump your girlfriend....If she cant drive stick on the road how she gonna drive stick at home.... KIDDING LOL
Seriously though and no offense to anyone's loved ones.... A girl driving stick is just HOT!!!You know this is the only country where you can learn to drive and never have to use a clutch. But in Europe you must learn to drive in a manual. Even the driving instructors' cars have 2 sets of pedals on both side of the car to help students learn. I think that there's a reason why STI doesnt come in auto and it may be a survival of the fittest issue. Its designed to single out the ones who actually know how to drive. Face it...Driving manual makes you automatically in tune with what the car is doing mechanically and thus the character of the car becomes subconsiously embedded in ur brain. Even if you cant heel toe or even rev match with just the gas, you can still have fun in an impreza. But such a high powered car needs control... Control of the engine's revs and control of the transfer of that power to the gears. An auto does the thinking for you and thus is in control. Wrong answer if you're mid corner in the wet and theres a sudden gear change.
So unless your girl's an amputee, you should teach her the ways of the stick. I dont think shell have any problem learning. It will be a bonding moment and it wont cost you a thing
