I did them myself. It took about 2 hours because i had to remove the entire front bumper. Since i've done mine, i've also cleared two 04 wrx's. One of which i painted the backs flat black.

Heres the basic procedure.
Remove headlights
Preheat conventional Oven at 285.
Put in 1 light at a time for 8 minutes(to melt silicone)
Pull apart the two pieces and remove the orange plastic reflectors.
Heat the headlight again for 5 minutes and reseal them
Put your front end back together and take pictures to show your friends

yeah, it defiantly makes the car look cleaner. I put in sylvania silverstar bulbs which are blue-ish-clear and blink orange. If your in the New England area i'll give ya a hand if you need it, but its pretty easy.

you guys with the legies ever go to legacygt.com? pretty much everyone there has an '05. I would say the consensus is that the Cobb Tuning Accessport is the best mod you can do to a stock car (check it out at cobbtuning.com). It runs about 650 but apparently it's worth it (mine should be here any day now). If you check out their site you can see what a difference even stage 1 (which is for a completely stock car) does for both horsepower and low-end torque. Other common mods are short throw shifter (Cobb, Kartboy, STI, there are a few others too), catless Uppipes (should reduce the turbo lag significantly), and a lot more people are starting to get downpipes and full turboback exhausts now (to upgrade to stage 2 with the Accessport you need at least a new downpipe and maybe a catless UP, you'd have to check their site). There's a lot out there - this baby's got a lot of potential, so let the modding begin!
