I know it's pretty specific but I'm looking for a 2002 MBP 4EAT 2.5rs. If anyone sees anything in the California area or possibly parts of oreagon or arizona let me know. Thanks.
ive got one in ohio...why so specific? why not just buy new rs? (imho ur not gonna save a whole lot - esp being so specific).
fyi: i got my mbp 4eat 2.5 2 yrs ago for 18300. dunno what your price range is, but financing a new car is alot easier than a used car right?

I got quoted from dealers about 18k after the rebate. Finanincing wouldnt be a good plan for me because I'm 19 thus never financed before and would pay heinous interest rates. I have quite abit saved up. Also, not a big fan of the 04 styling and there aren't any 03's around. I've seen some 02's for about 11-12k depending on miles which would be great for me. Oh well, guess I'll keep looking.

hmm yah. if i was in your situation (btw i got my rs when i was 19 as well). id either try to get your parents to help finance (i got 1.9% through my parents) or look for a used 00-01 instead. the only reason imho to get the 02-03 is for more rigid chasis, and safety. other than that id pretty much say gc chasis looks better and it comes w/ standard lsd in the rear.
you can always buy my modified 02 (eibach prokit, cobb cai, stromung catback, lightweight pulley) for 17 k
(its got <20k miles
)
02 for 11-12k would be hard to do unless there is some damage. you would have a better luck with 00. BTW, 00-01 also have rear LSD where 02 doesn't. and pre 02 (not including 02) has coupe and sun roof and scoop for easy turbo mod. oh and you also get map reading light and fog lights stock.

I'm a big fan of the GDA styling and need a four door because of insurance purposes. I can't really finanace because I'm in college and don't have a full time job to make payments with. Someone from new mexico on nasioc was selling his 02 rs 4eat with a lot of quality parts and a built motor for 13k but I missed out on that. I guess I'll keep looking though.
