yes the rsx is cheaper than the wrx but not the rsx type S, or at least when i went to the acura dealership they were selling the type s for $27,000 plus tax. i once wantd a type s but then i realized i like RWD or AWD. beetle mini cooper mustang watever, its both girls and boys cars. some people are so sexest, dont kno if the rest of the states have changed but in california it girls and boys drive all sorts of cars and no one just says the beetle is for girls and the rsx is for boys. thats so dumb. cars are for any sex as long as they can drive.

flyby11, please use the edit option instead of spamming another post if you're gonna correct your post.

Theres hardly any RSX-S's here...I see 3x more G35 coupes than RSX-S's.

don't be so conceited about cali. don't praise the wrx so much downs#@$ because the rsx s is a great car and you can get better prices on that than a wrx. look from a wide perspective, not a limited one.

if i can interject something mildy intelligent into a thread that is quickly turning into a elementary school type "my dad can beat up your dad" conversation
Anyhow, someone said on the earlier page that the Civic Si shares the same engine as the RSX-S. Isn't this wrong? Doesn't it share the same engine as the BASE RSX?
I think in reality the cars appeal to different markets. I originally wanted a coupe(specifically a base RSX but I was appaled at the small size when I test drove one, and that in conjunction with insanely high insurance costs made me look elsewhere). after being used to my old Escort wagon I couldn't give up the utility of the wagon. I definately would've got a WRX wagon had the fuel/insurance costs not been so high(but oddly enough they were less than a BASE RSX!), but I'm really satisfied with my OBS.

I was at Willow Springs a few months ago and an RSX-S rolled his car on the infamous turn 9 with a passenger in the car, the driver was fine but the passenger was hurt really bad, ended up going to the hospital in an ambulance. The passenger side pillar was at about the place where the passenger's chest would have been so I don't know how or where the person's head ended up at the end of the whole thing. Pretty messed up. A little off topic but I'll get to my comment on the RSX.

My experience with RSX's (not to generalize, but this is with a high percentage of RSX's that I've run into) is that they always think they can walk my a$$ and so far not one has been able to... minus two or three that are doing it in heavy traffic weaving like madmen.

I dont care what a person drives, its never good to hear about a wreck. Hopefully he has fully recovered. But it sounds like the general consensus is that a wrx is a clearly more capapable car.

Come on folks, the RSX-S is a good car for it's intended market. I think the OP just wanted us to be aware of the smack they've directed towards the WRX on their boards. The same could be said for some of the posts on the vwvortex boards (which I do check out every once in a while). Just take it with a grain of salt.

DE I haven't agreed with some of the things you've said in the past but I couldn't agree with you more with most of what you said in your last post.

Especially where you explain about the "don't praise the WRX so much cause the RSX-S is a great car and can be had for cheaper... look from a wide prospective"
Your explanation is exactly what I was thinking, WHO CARES... ask Eric M. and he'll tell you the Scion is a great car and IT can be had for half as much as a WRX, but it doesn't mean you should compare the two. And also the part where you have to earn respect... definitely, for the price of the RSX-S I'd expect more from that car, if I were looking for something cheaper I'd just get an SRT-4.
