And the RSX type S has only 142 foot pounds of torque
WRX torque is 217 foot pounds.
I'lll go an extra $1,200 for 2 extra doors, 75 extra torque, 27 extra HP and AWD
The RSX will need a moonroof, just so the inside can cool off faster and you don't get second degree burns on your butt from the leather seats.
And the idea of the RSX being a a sport "luxury" car is silly. That's like saying a "luxury" phone booth.

I'm new here so dunno if my opinion will matter much~
but Some people might consider the RSX just because it's mildly luxurious, and not everyone buys a car strictly for performance i guess, i'm facing the same dilemma right now. The answer isn't as straight foward

All those folks who said Honda = Acura are 100% correct. However, the RSX Type-S is NOT the DC10 Integra Type R. The DC10 Type R runs about 220hp, has upgraded wheels and suspension, and has a nicer interior (i.e. stock red Recaros, etc.) The RSX Type-S is more of a GS-R, technically. With that said, the RSX isn't a bad car. Just diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks

Haha... the Acura RSX was yesterday's car. Sure, maybe it is "luxurious" compared to base Honda Civics, but not compared to your average $24,000 car. When I think of luxury, I think of a new Mercedes-Benz, with its gadgets that I still can't figure out how to use. I don't think power seats or a power sunroof in an RSX counts as luxury. It is NOT a girl's car, but there are a ton of girls who drive it, so in the eyes of average people other than RSX owners, they are inclined to identify it with femininity. That is, unless it's a Type-R, but on this side of the Pacific, that is a rarity.

Um my beef with the RSX is that eveyone and their mother has one. Since the new Civic and SI flopped on enthusiasts harder then free ***** everyone who wants to stay in the honda/acura camp with their new car has bought one.... The RSX's are everywhere and at least in my opinion they are too plain, too underpowered, too heavy to really be about performance, too cheep to really be luxury, and really aren't worth their pricetag. Take the 27k and build yourself a honda worth a shiet for performance, or buy the C class Merc. if you want to own a luxo car...

Car Info: 2005 WR blue WRX w/ premium package
this thread is getting ridiculous. the rsx s is way cheaper than the wrx. the wrx w/ destination(bone stock) costs 25,???k. the rsx s costs 23,720(bone stock). the car is great for fwd. yes, indeed a lot of chicks drive the rsx. but it is a base rsx auto. how many times have you guys seen a chick in an rsx s. not too many since it only comes in stick. that is why i would get the wrx with the premium package. even though the car will weigh more with it, the car will still be fast and somewhat luxurious with the leather seats, moonroof, and such. i plan on keeping the car until it falls apart once i get it, so i would like that luxurious stuff that i would have missed out after a couple of years of owning a wrx w/out it.

Hardly, I would've expected it to be obvious to most people. Anyone who doesn't think that certain cars are marketed for and driven by women would do well to take a marketing course, or perhaps psychology of advertising. (I do not believe the RSX to be such a car, though.)
