YES!! we will see a STi version of the Legacy in 2005. I know this because I work for Subaru and we had a meeting a few days ago. They didnt have any specs on it but its coming. They said its an STi Legacy so im hoping its similar to the S401 with the H6 Turbo 400hp, 400lbs torque.. but who knows... just gotta wait.

A turbo legacy I'd wager would come as it seems that they are going to turbocharge their entire lineup.

400HP and torque luxury mobile = ca-ching and bling.

There will be a turbo Leg soon once again, but it remains to be seen if it will truly be an STi or equivalent, or more along the lines of the power and equipment of the Forester XT.

yeah 250hp is correct from my sources.

Also fantabulous... the S401 runs on a EJ20 (2.0 litre 4cil)Twin Turbo powerplant not the H6.
Cheers

W3RD!

I think the USDM line up is going to see a lot of the turbo charged 2.5 in varying degrees of tune. It makes sense for Subaru from an economic point of view as well as a marketing point of view. I plan on buying a "fast from the factory" Legacy in 3-5 years.

Legacy's are decently fast for the fact that they're normal sedans, not like the Impreza's. I know my Legacy GT is definitely an upgrade from most cars that I've driven. And it could murder my mom's 03 Forester XT.

Whoops, mom has an XS, not an XT.

I've driven hers before. It's a slow automatic. I thought she had an XT, hence why I said my Legacy could beat her's.
