I've heard "That thing has what, a v6 right?" I could laugh or be an *** cause it was a co-workers husband, and he and his wife are hella cool.
I think my favorite is the same guy at the dealership that has asked me/commented on my caring an STi TWICE. I do have an STi wing....but its also a friggin bugeye! AND HE SELLS SUBARUS!

 

^^^ On that note,
When ever I go to the dealership to get work done or pick up parts, I look around the lot and scope out the new cars. I'd say about 99% of the time the sales men DO see that I got out of a Subaru, because the garage is literally 10 feet from the front desk.
So I'll be walking around and looking inside the new cars and have a sale's rep come over to me and give me the usual B.S. So I just tell him I have one and am just looking at the new cars. Simple right?
Nope, they just look at me like I have 3 heads.

This is how a typical conversation goes:

Sales men: Hi, looking for a car?
Me: Umm no I have a WRX, just looking at your new cars.
S-M: So..... are looking to get a new one?!?!?
Me: No.... just looking.
S-M: Ok, let me get this straight. You have a car..... but........ you’re here looking at a car.
Me: Umm yeah. That seems about right.
S-M: Ok.... one more time, why are you here?

Then they wonder off muttering something under their breath.

I guess it's a crime now a days to look at cars. They do the same thing when I go inside and walk around the showroom floor while waiting for parts.

Do you guys think this is weird? Or am I just crazy. I can see how this would be a problem if it were teens looking to test drive an STI but I was just looking threw the windows.

next time you should go "yeah, I have a wrx, but I want to trade it in for an RS." when they look at you weird just go "if you stop asking me stupid questions I'll stop giving you stupid answers. k thnx bye."

 

a guy i kno wit a stock wrx asked me wats wat springs he should get with Cusco coilovers. hahahahahaahah

 

then to top it off, he asks "the 4runner has 245hp stock and the wrx has 227hp, so the 4runners faster right?" I replied "no duh, the 4runner is way faster."

its funny tho, cuz i actually hav a 4runner, and there are times i feel it is faster than my wrx... weird

the BEST thing I've probably ever heard from a new Suby owner "Hey, should I sign-up on nasioc?"

 

Couple times at the gas station I was asked:

"Is that a Mazda?"

 

Now that right there's a true dumbass! LOL!

 

holly crap I was hoping I was the only one getting the mazda question. The bad part of where i live in north carolina is that truck and Mustang/camaro owners are the most educated. We actually have diesel trucks around here that are quick for being as heavy as they are but a honda owner puts a fart can on the back and thinks it outruns everything but a porshe. I just love showing those clowns what a wagon can do just cuz its funny to see them get upset about it.
