Oh! Wait a minute...one more!!!
Just when I thought I had a performance oriented, all-American Mustang guy for a neighbor...yeah, one of my neighbor's teen-age sons! He asked to see under the hood of what he called "your little Import" (he referred to my "05 WRX). I pop'd the hood and waited for a technical-related comment and comparison to his "***-kicking STANG" (as he likes to call it). INSTEAD!!!...he said the following...which made me wonder and question...what exactly is it that makes a car guy "a car guy"!!!? Hhhhmmmm!!! ANYWAYS!...He said, "Your car must heat up a lot and that's why they put TWO (2) "radiators"!!! YES! He pointed at the "radiator" (thank God!)...but also at the Top Mount Intercooler AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!
He's lucky I didn't close the hood on his fingers!!!

Well, a lot of the domestic cars ARE faster than the imports. Even the grandma Impalas....

you have to look at the imports though. a civic should not be put up against an impala. they are in a whole different ball game. so yes some domestics are faster than imports but if you match them up by purpose(sports car, economy, family, etc, etc) then the playing field is generally in our favor, in my opinion. alot of imports are still in the fuel economy classes so the comparison of imports and domestics is a little harder to do. rx-7 vs. cavalier= not fair. STI vs. town and country= well ok that would be one hell of a race. i understand what you are saying. i'm trying to put similar cars together. camaros and mustangs have never and will never impress me

Sorry, guys - I've moved several posts to the Dumpster. Please do not post any references, obvious or implied, about street racing or speed contests that do not take place on a sanctioned road course or drag strip. Alex has expressed his wishes for i-Club on that topic here.

Thanks for your consideration.

No problem, bro. I didn't get that impression from your post at all.

As for Camaros and Mustangs, they impress me just the same as STis and Evos impress me. Some do, some don't. They both offer great rushes and excitement in different ways.

I can't wait for the next Camaro to debut, because I am THERE (provided it doesn't weigh a ton). My next car will be the next Camaro.

Yes guys please do.
I don't want this thread going in random thought's/ off topic.
Thanks wingless for not moving it.

Was driving one of my friends home in my car the other day and after about a block or so she turned to me and asked "why is your car no nosie? It sounds like my mom's old Volkswagen. " I just turned and said ' so.....good movie huh'

Me= 4.5 inch tip. HKS exhaust, that might have something to do with it.
