Mitsubishi doesn't make any other AWD car except the Evo
Isn't the Eagle Talon a Mitsubishi car, it has awd. Also weren't some older eclipse models awd?

Yeah, there are a lot of older DSM cars that are AWD. I was refering to current production models when I said "none but the Evo"

It is WRX wagon with different aero package and interior. I meant that they were starting to bring AWD to *other* cars besides the 9-2X (like the 9-X concept, plus rumors of a 9-3 and 9-5 AWD).

They are going to start to. Market anaylsts are predicting that the sales of AWD cars will double by 2008, which means more mainstream, affordable car companies will start offering AWD. Toyota and Nissan have been offering AWD for ages (not always in the US, though) and will probably have a decent system when they finally reintroduce their AWD cars into the US market.

Some domestic automakers are supposedly tinkering with the idea too.

You can expect lots of AWD cars in the near future.

Car Info: 2004 Impreza Outback Sport
Regarding the Saab 9-2X,
The Aero model is a WRX wagon with different skin. The base Linear version is actually a closer to the Outback Sport, as it uses the 2.5L NA engine at 165hp. Spending 25,000 for a Saab version of an Outback Sport hardly seems worthwhile to me.

You mean only the autos right??

The manual trans impreza is 50/50 under normal driving. Atleast the non-turbo is.

I also think the forester was the same 50/50 in a manual.

Yup, only the autos on the base models. The split is 90/10 (more or less, but is continually variable) for those cars. Every Subaru manual has a 50/50 split, and the WRX auto is 45/55.

BMW 4wd systems are pretty advanced (325xi,330xi) the power split on them is 67%ear and 33%font. They did it to make the car more sportier (more rwd based) and to even out the tire-wear rate.

I'd say its closer to the 2.5TS then the OBS. I'm just nitpicking though, it is really close to the OBS too.

Ah, the Escort Cosworth. I was wondering if they finally got around to releasing the Focus Cosworth yet.

And yes, it is definitely a nice little package. I'll take one of those, or maybe a Sierra Cosworth.
