I was in a volkswagen dealership yesterday and saw their R32.
I was just wondering if anybody has actually tried driving this car.
It looks like its well balance car. Weight, drivetrain, engine.
Just wanted to hear people's opinion about the car.
(and i think its overpriced for what the dealership is asking for $36k and MSRP is like $29K)
thanks guys/gals.

This month's Road & Track tested it. To get the best acceleration time on it (if memory serves) they revved it to redline and side stepped the clutch! It's 1/4 mile time was 13.5ish or so.

Two of my friends just bought this car. a black one and a blue one Its awesome. quick and fun.
comes stock with 18's 240hp AWD. handles like a dream. grips amazingly. yeah its a bit overpriced I would rather get a STI but this is one amazing car. also the seats hold you in place really well.

Ya, I test drove one and it would be a lot of fun to own, but I would rather an STI anyday, I personally don;t really like how the R32 looks, I've never been a Volkswagon fan

i dig that car. i am a huge fan of the golf series. if the GTI had a stronger engine, I probably would hve gotten it instead of my rex wagon
also the r32 is a much better daily driver IMO

cool.. well, IMO, german cars is harder to work on. Am not sure if i just got used on working on japanese cars..
anyway, i think they could have given more boost or something.. 240hp? for a V6 turbo? c'mon.. STi pulled out a 300hp on a flat 4...
but anyway, that's a flat 4... (make a big difference! ;p)

thats right. imagine what a supercharger would do for that. i am sure neuspeed has been coming up with some cool stuff for that car. i just hope they made the suspension stiffer. those cars have waaay to much roll

The R32 is a nice car. That being said, at least for me it is too nice. Its a really nice daily driver it's quiet and refined its also pretty quick despite its rediculous heft. What I am trying to say is that its way too nice of a car, at least for me personally. I would much rather get an Evo or an Sti for the same price thats going to be a hell of a lot quicker, but a lot less refined. Over all it depends on what you are looking for, the R32 is a luxurious fast car but all that luxury adds wieght to the car and takes away wieght from your wallet.
