i just got my black with gold STi last night
and one thing i that annoyings me is the fact
taht i have to tell people "dont shut the door too hard"
another thing is whenever i park my car in garage
whole garage smells like burnt clutch
but the one fact taht wont change forever is
i love STi

Ditto on the doors... that annoys the hell out of me, people SLAM the doors and then I scream DON'T SLAM THE DOORS! <---Then I honk the horn.lol
Just wondering about the smell...

I can't think of anything that sucks about it, but then I've only had it for 5 months. There are minor quibbles like brake dust, too much weight (but it could have been much worse as all the American performance cars are coming out 500 pounds heavier than the STi, where I wish ours weighed 500 pounds less), and slower steering than ideal for my purposes. But of course all those imply compromises somewhere that not everyone would live with (e.g. 500 pounds less would raise the price, increase noise a lot, and reduce reliability (unless the price is raised even higher)).

u can slam the door becasue the doors dont "feel" solid like german cars i.e. volkwagons and such. these doors are very lightweight.
the clutch usually is becasue when the car is new or when the driver isn't used to the car yet, most people will ride the clutch, meaning more gas, higher rpms, then slowly let go of the clutch .
