Well i am considering selling my 2002 WRB WRX. My reason is mostly because i can not afford it anymore and am looking into other possibilities. For those of you who have seen my car in the project thread, you can see it would be an extremely hard car to part with. My only option to save money and still drive a Subaru would be a 2.5 RS. I m curious as to what you guys have to say. Should i stick it out and keep the WRX, or sell it, relieve the cash problem and get a 2.5 Black RS??

 

Its a tough call. 2.5RS's are very nice cars indeed (what year are you looking at?). Most likely you will miss your car and the speed, and the new car will feel slow, but in reality, the 2.5RS is a nice great car that you can have a lot of fun with. I know its a tough call, but you can look at it two ways.

Is having a very fun car and financial stresses better or worse then being better off financially and still having a decent (but not quite as fun) car? Tough call. Good luck with it man.

 

Oh, and to add on to what I was saying before, sometimes it is necessary to dump something you love temporarily to get your financial future back on course. Only you can really know if thats necessary, but getting rid of your car now to secure being able to have a place to live plus buying cool cars in the future is a very worth while tradeoff.

 

Thanks man for the advice (very wise words). I suppose i could alaways get another Bug Eye 02 WRX in the future. Are the 2.5 RS as reliable as the WRX? Yes the speed will be a big differenec but since the car is smaller and lighter, the fun factor should be there (if not more).

 

Yeah, the 2.5RS is a reliable car. The fun factor is certainly there. I still love to drive my friends, even though I have a turbo Its a blast.

 

ya they are fun. I most likely want to get a 99 RS Black but since they are older and people seem to cling on to them, they are harder to find. Have to keep my eyes open and keep lookin
