rpm's at idle

i start my wrx today, bone stock, and it idles at 1200 rpm's. i noticed it so i just let the car run for a while (5 min) and it finally got down near what i think as normal rpm's while idling.

every time i start the car it does this is there somthing wrong or should i not worry about it.

When the car starts up cold it idles higher. Mine has idled close to 1500 when it's pretty cold out. I let it sit and it settles down to anywhere from 700-900rpms. Better than my old 300ZX that used to idle at almost 2000 and regularly sit at about 1200.

most cars almost double the normal idle speed while the engine is cold. when the coolant and oil temp are up to temp, the idle should land around 750 rpm
