There are uppipe and downpipes that are aftermarket that retain the catalytic converters. They are a little more costly but they do make them. Perrin i believe sells one but i am not sure. There have been a few import magazine shoot out exhaust system for the wrx. A ecu reflash should net at least 30hp some say 25whp on a stock car, a turbo back is good for another 30 say and an uppipe around 7-10. So i believe with those mods that youll believe around 300hp. There are alot of variables, like what company exhuast and ecu reflash you go with. But if you get these mods and then dyno the car you should be right at where u wanna be. I hope this helps. Doing research is the only way to go. I am by no means an authority on this , from what i read and heard this is one way to get the performance you are looking for.

It is so sad that aftermarket companies have to put those somewhat decieving numbers on their part descriptions. Those numbers usually describe what MIGHT be gained if you use that particular part UNDER IDEAL CIRCUMSTANCES. Ideal meaning engine is tightly sealed, perect (sic) tuneup and the like. You also have to consider that mixing different components is not always additive in their effect. An exhaust system may net you 15hp, but when you add a 'ECU relfash' that supposedly gets you upto 30hp, you find that you only got 20 or so. Not all components will work together in perfect harmony, unless they were designed together as a package to be installed together. One particular item may work better than another when paired with a second, i.e. exhaust 'A' works better with ECU reflash 'B' than exhaust 'B' does even though both exhausts claim the same gains. Be mindful of your expectations and never shoot to high, you may be disappointed.
