Prodrive Kit for WRX- Motor Trend article
There was a really interesting article in Motor Trend (June issue) that describes how you can go to Prodrive (prodrive-usa.com), to get a suite of mods in a kit that covers (from what I could gather) wheels, suspension, ECU mods, and some other stuff that I may be forgetting (I don't have the mag in front of me) that will increase whp by something like 60, improves the 0-60 time and the 60-0 time, improve performance on the "slalom" by 6-7 mph, etc.
One example of the changes, they swap out to 18" wheels.
That sounds pretty cool, does anyone know anything about this? I'm a real beginner, I'm just doing the first few mods on my 03 WRX (up-pipe, down-pipe swapouts, etc). So this could be IDEAL for me, someone of my (lack of) expertise and time, who wants a reliable street vehicle that comes much closer to STi performance than stock WRX. I've pretty much come to realize that I'll never be able to catch up with the people who post to these places and critically judge the individual mods that I should do to get to that level.
I went to the Prodrive website but so far haven't found anything but ala carte mods in separate sections, still looking tho.
Help! Whadda the experts say?

The Prodrive upgrade packages are good, from what I've heard. If you do a search you can probably find some people who actually have them and get some opinions. My only problem with them is their price. You could piece together the same mods yourself for less money and get just as much or more power. The benefits of the Prodrive packages are the Prodrive reputation and keeping the factory warranty. Personally, I'd rather spend less and put together my own package.

The only advise I have is to read the aftermarket parts forums on here and over on NASIOC.com because the Prodrive parts are very expensive, but yes they are pretty decent.
Another thing is go to some of your local Subaru meets and find out what other people are doing to there cars and take a look see for yourself, that helps alot as well.
