Ignition module or coil?

Ignition module or coil?
I was wondering what year Subaru switched from putting an ignition coil in, to instead putting in the electrical ignition module. I have a 1995 Impreza and I wanna put in a tach because I dont have one, but I cant find either the coil or the module and was wondering which one I have.. can anyone help me out?
