If you want to run 11's, you're going to need a new turbo at least. Probably need a new fuel pump and injectors too.

First, put down the ego, and step away.

ok....

now we can talk

SRT-4's are formidable cars, nothing to be embarrased about by losing to one.

And if you do lose, call it a Neon. The owner's will usually get really pissed off.

He can win on a drag strip,(who cares) but do you think his neon can hang in the twisties? If you bought a subie as a drag car, you made a mistake, unless you have unlimited amounts of cash.

lets face it man, srt-4s can really move, but only in a straight line. ALso you would be amazed how much a good set of slicks helps at the track. iF you really want a more even match try to see if he'll race on street tires. Just remember, your car is nearly stock and im sure he had to do a lot of work on that SRt to get it into the 11's. just see what hes made of ,take a chance

oh, and take pleasure in knowing that your car is a hell of a lot nicer than his. You thionk guys that drive porsches and ferraris care if a supra or a boosted eclipse can beat them in the 1/4 mile? Hell no, they're too busy getting looks from really hot chicks and what not.

Buy an STi, full exhaust, engine management, and GT30 with the usual supporting mods. Drive half decent and you're in the 11s. Your WRX drivetrain can't handle 11 second runs for long, even though you can make enough power to do it.

That and drop the ego! You can't beat every car out there!

My brother has an SRT-4 Mopar Stage 2, and beat me straight up from a rolling start. I get a good jump from a dig, but only to catch up, up top (120+ mph).

i already have an sti,

i hear you guys, street tire option sounds good to me, what is a good street turbo upgrade that can get me into the 11's, i was thinking a pe1818, or the 1820?

i really want an all around semi-supercar, stock the sti is pretty much there, but 11's in the 1/4 and ability to hang with a 911 in solo 2 or road coarse is my ultimate goal.

Sit inside the neon and you'll see and feel why the STi is better.
