The ride quality is great for daily driving. Gas would be a drawback though, especially in the city or heavy traffic. Most S2K owners seem to average in the mid to low 20 mile per gallon while most RX-8 owners report mid to high teens.

Might I suggest a Focus SVT? It's supposed to be a pretty fun car.

city - 21 mpg
highway - 25 mpg

i actually saw a smart car on the free way the other day...small as hell! but perfect if you work or live in the city.
saw one in korea seoul too, the guy parked the car in a alley way between two buildings less than arm lengths apart -,.-
