fuse keeps blowing out

I know this is sorta off topic. My girlfriend's maxima keeps blowing a fuse for the brake lights. I tried 3 and everytime you press the brake pedal you can see the fuse blow. Im not an electric pro so I was hoping someone here might have some insight. It doesnt matter if the car is on or off, it still blows out. Thanks in advance all.

Check to see what other thing use that fuse. In my Dodge Shadow, the fuse for the horn would blow every time you put the cigar lighter in. I got a new lighter and the problem stopped happining.

check this

I had the same problem on my first suby wagon. It turned out that there was a pinched cord in the tail light harness. Check if possible, anywhere were there might be a line that has been comprimised, pinched, chaffed. If the fuse blows only when you hit the peddal then it has to be in the line from the peddal switch to the lights. Hope that helps.

make sure you're using the right size fuse.
