.....But I still love the linearity that the STi provides. Sometimes I just love that gradual push back into the seat and that feeling of "pulling and pulling and pulling." That feeling is most pleasant on a back road in contrast to one swift boot in the *** and the "hold on for dear life" feeling.

ehh, not too bad, I was coming from a Dodge stealth (n/a v6, 222bhp, fat as hell) so the cobalt didnt feel better or worse really power wise. after that I was walking away kind of happy and I saw the subaru dealership across the streat and I had time to kill so I went and walked around, looked at a new 05 wrx...didn't even bother to go near the STi "too much money, don't need that much power, just want something to get me places."
anyways a salsman came up to me and I explained everything and he said "well we do have one used WRX on the lot, but its an auto" I said what the hell, why not. Drove it and even getting out of the parking lot I said "ok, to hell with the cobalt"
besides, the Cobalt SS S/C's run like 14's in the 1/4mile, and don't stock STi's run like 12.9's with good drivers?

Anyway, Cobalts are one of the biggest piles of sh*t on the road. I wouldn't let my worst enemy buy a Cobalt.

Before his run he told me that his only mod was a K/N air filter.
I see this guy at the track everytime I go and that is once or twice
a month so, I know he had plenty of practice and a great set of tires.
The STI's are fast even in stock form.

In another thread he found it impossible to believe that a stock STi ran a 12.89.

Like I said I see the guy all the time.I could ask him if he put any mods
on his car and he would honestly tell if he did or didn't.
Some people wouldn't belive the truth if it smacked them in the face lol.
I have been wondering what some people are running with their modded
WRX's?

No, he said that it could be done, but the liklihood wasnt there. And also just becuase it looks and sounds stock, doesnt mean it is.
I do agree with you that the Coball SS is a piece, but at least Chevy is trying. they just need to realize that AWD is much better. And a stock WRX > than a stock Cobalt SS.

Secondly, a Cobalt SS Supercharged will beat a WRX.
Thirdly, we're all bright enough here to realize when we're looking at stock cars. Most people that mod their cars start with easy mods like exhausts, intakes, and ecu tunes. Even if the guy was running a Cobb AP Stage 1 and nothing else his gain would have been miniscule in the 1/4 mile. With an AWD drivetrain that "extra" 25 hp from the Cobb AP is only providing maybe 10-12 whp, and maybe 20 ft lbs tq.
Fourthly, you weren't there to inspect the vehicles. We were. So that means now you can sit down and have a glass of STFU.
You and your retard friend have done nothing but hop from thread to thread about how this isn't possible, or that isn't possible, or this isn't stock, or that isn't stock. Get over it already. There are Evo IX MRs that have been known to trip 12.70s bone stock. But wait, those owners must be lying too! The two automotive authorities of I-Club haven't witnessed it so it hasn't happened!
