Besides, buying an Evo isn't nearly as bad as buying an SRT-4.

But I do have to agree with you that buying an Evo is no where near as bad as buying an SRT-4!!
At least an Evo won't torque-steer you right off the road and into a ditch!

actually mitsu has man popular models of cars in japan including 4x4's like the pajaro. evo's are not the only thing keeping them up...but then haveing some of our top people busted never helps much...and the MR isn't that much lighter only about 80lbs. and it takes 100lbs to make a .10 of a second diffrence.

if mitsubishi can clear their lawsuits globally- i'm sure someone will take over. their only chance in Chrysler is pretty much shot. one interesting hypothetical situation i'd like to see... FHI buyout Mitsubishi Motors.
that would be weird.
in terms of the MR- i want one!

The MR is here...I mean it is here at the local Sactown dealerships, i think there is 2 of them. I must say I give props to you guys for buying Subaru over other brands, but for all of those that are Bais toward the EVO and saything things like "Buying a EVO isnt as bad as buying a SRT-4" watch out. It time for for you to get spanked ( like one other pointed out...."There is alot more EVO's in the 10's than STi's/WRX's). The MR is BAD!!! I would get one, but I like my GSR EVO just fine.
I like Subaru ( which is why I joined I-club). Again for you Bais out there if you see a MR and think you can beat go ahead, just prepare youself for its exhaust gases. I wont go into reguakr EVOs and this is about the MR

I was reading from some automotive news the Daimler/Chrsyler is not putting any more money in Mitsubishi and letting Mitsubishi fend for themselves. This is also affecting there funding in the FIA world rally competition. Anyway, I guess Mitsubishi will turn 180 and stop there easy approving, discounted, best back car ways and focus there effort more on quality, not quantity. So watch EVO buyers, that MR might (MIGHT!) actually cost you 40k or more.

The Japanese Government kicked in and is helping out Mitsubishi. Oh and 40 grand for a MR I wouldnt doubt it, not because of financing of Mitsubishi, just because the MR is going to be very rare and of course Dealerships are going to try and get a premium for them. Just look at how much they wanted for a regular evo when they first came out, same with the STi.
Lightweight?!?! 3285lbs.. another heavy pig, when are they gonna learn...bwahahahaha.
Bring it on!!

yeah the mr is actually heavier than the gsr, the 05 upgrades include acd, sport abs, 6 speed, bilstein shocks, bbs rims, aluminum roof, vortex generator, larger turbo exhaust housing and front atb limited slip dif.
A threat to the sti before, and even more so now, Go EVOLUTION MR
