Ok, so I'm one of those newbs that likes to go to ebay motors and look at the vast array of imprezas sold there. However, once in a while (like every couple of months) I see some Subaru STi being sold for 8k BUY IT NOW. Is it a scam? I know there was a thread on this before but the answers weren't thorough enough for me. How come ebay hasn't caught on yet. I saw two of these listings today, any comments from you guys or did one of you get your Scoobie dirt cheap? I was tempted to click buy it now, but I didn't think i twas safe.

You wont be able to bid unless u are "pre-approved"...it could be one of many scams...u buy-it-now for $8k....he tells u to go thru HIS escrow companyto finish the transaction... the escrow company happens to be a fake one (prolly created by the seller), he takes ur money, and walks with it...ur out $8k...

I got had on ebay for a utec, watch out for second chance offers, I got emails from ebay even stating our transaction and everything, I sent the money(non paypal)*still kicking myself* and never heard from him again, and good old ebay won't help me out at all, they just said "sorry for the inconvience, we are unable to locate the seller"
