whats up with all the scams during christmas time ?
I got a few in the mail like "you are entitled to a refund on out of country purchases" and many more asking for bank accounts and credit cards etc.
On email, "IRS refund miss calculated and we owe you money, you can even do it directly to your credit card to send refund faster" and they even put the amount etc..
DUH ! I am not that stupid...
be carefull out there folks........I still get more of these lame scams...grrrrrrrrrrr !

I watched the news and found out there's a scam where someone sends out checks for $5k or something and asks for $1500 in return for whatever reason. Of course, that $5k check never clears.

I dont think that one is a scam. I got the mailing in the mail too, and when i saw post i kind of got scared because i did the "Easy Refund" option to get a free $25.
