5w30 or 10w30 help please

i'm getting my oil change using mobil 1 but i'm not sure if i should use 5w30 or 10w30 what do u guys use?

5w30, 10w30 will protect better(thicker) but you will lose horses and response.

5W-30 Mobil 1. Check your Owner's Manual for Subaru's recommendations based on operating conditions (air temperature). Pretty much match's other manufacturer recommendations for oil flow at cold-start and slightly better fuel economy, though I'm not sure the average person could tell the difference.

I run 5-30 during snowboarding season and 10-30 the rest of the time. Honestly, I don't think it makes much difference.

Common sense tells me that there is a reason why the factory specs 5w-30. I don't think 10w-30 will buy you anything, 5w-40 or 5w-50 might give you better protection at higher temps.

My owner's manual says 10-30 is fine for my climate. As a general rule of thumb, the lower the difference between the two numbers, the more stable the oil.
