What is an EXPERT?

Break apart the word.

* An EX is a has-been
* A SPURT is a drip under pressure

An EXPERT must be a has-been drip under pressure.

I normally don't contribute to wasting time, but you all are responsible for corrupting me.

Ignoring the correct root coming from "experience", which clearly many are lacking..

Pert, not spurt.
You must be thinking of something else.

pert*(pûrt)
adj. pert·er, pert·est
1) Trim and stylish in appearance; jaunty: a pert hat.
2) High-spirited; vivacious.
3) Impudently bold; saucy.

I say we go with 2, so
Expert - No-longer high-spirted - ie couch potato or keyboard jockey.

You all, however, might note that all 3 definitions(stylish, vivacious, saucy) remind you of a more common word - gay.

Others of keen wit might note that pert is an old term applied to nipples...

I feel you are all experts, whether or not you believe it, and I have joined you.

We are the experts of
posting sheer, utter drivel and extreme time-wasting.

I'd love to take you on in foosball. i'm WAY into it. Play it everyday at work with the guys and i'm one of the best there. But you better not be a spinner... or i won't waste my time

we've got to set a date to get together for both the film and the game.
