that was a great event.
i knew from the initial announcement that the Fiesta's were going to be very difficult to beat, and (not counting the final round) they definitely held their own and drove wonderfully.
the Fiesta is a newer car, with a shorter wheelbase (it can take advantage of the tight turns more easily), its lighter (despite the additional 250lbs of lead to equal the power to weight ratio).
and travis stuffed his car at the end of the tarmac section.
and having a former Indy 500 driver that does not let the rear end slide out (ie. SLOW IT DOWN), you could only expect him to gain speed in the more technical tarmac sections over the slower drifting techniques.
that is rally, thru and thru.

yeah, I gotta say. Overall event wise the day was kinda crummy with all of the problems people were having. but to actually be there was the BEST! I mean I did see Ken Block and I got my picture taken with him...

Bag on him all you want, I still think he is an amazing driver and he actually has style.

I was surprised that there were sections on the tarmac that travis closed the gap. I think if he stayed off the wall he would have had it.
Ford has been doing well in rally for a while now. Too bad the states only gets the crappy fords. Strange.
yeah those fords were impressive.

Ford does not bring the small, sporty cars to the US because the overall demand is for the Taurus, Mustang and F150... i sincerely doubt we'll ever see a truly GOOD Ford sporty, small car on our shores.
