Interest rates are going up a little to keep inflation in check, but it won't go up to where it was in the 80s. I don't see the real estate market tanking, but we might see a correction within the next 2-5 years, and I think the odds of that happening would be higher if the economy dips. You were entitled to 1/2 of everything (actually more, if you milked the system--unfortunate truth with CA laws), but sounds like you made the right decision.

that just proves my point that much more......my example was from a 5 year mortgage, hence the difference....but yea.....yer totally right! it sux so bad.
