Needless to say: haven't eaten at a Denny's since.

Pho Hoa FTW. There's one in San Leandro on Washington Ave. by my house that happens to also be named "Pho An Hoa", but there's no relation between that one and the worldwide chain of Pho Hoa, but it's very good. I've had pho at the Pho Hoa chain in Berkeley and that had pretty good broth. I also ate at the place by the Tapioca Express in Union City, it's pretty decent. I don't eat at pho places too often, but the one by my house is the best out of the handful I've eaten at. Pho Bang in San Jose's pretty damn good too. I always order Pho Dac Biet and eat everything in the bowl. Tendons, yum!
I'll also vouch for Vien Huong, if it's the place I think it is that's located next door to a fish market and a bakery on one of the side streets. It's not a pho place, but I've eaten there ever since I was a little kid. For some odd reason, as a kid, I always ordered the rice with beef & egg (don't know why, it wasn't that good anyway), then I started eating the rice noodle soup (the flat kind called "fun"). A combination noodle soup (sliced kidneys and all), chili sauce, and hoisin sauce, I'm set. I haven't had it in a month, so I think I'll go back sometime. I love bringing home piping hot containers of noodle soup. I'm not a big fan of TK Noodle though. It's alright.

We should have a meet where we go hit up some restaurant for bowls of soup (noodle, regular soup, whatever). Haha. Damn it's cold.
