How much money have you given to I-club to keep it going? I'd bet that GS has put alot more into it than everyone else in this thread combined. Youre arguing that if there was consolidated threads you'd read through them, but *****ing about having to read through them seperatly. Do you open every thread there is? I didnt think so. Im with the "get over it" crowd on this one.

So just because GS pays vedor fees they should be able to abuse the classifieds? This isn't Nabisco. If other member's for sale threads must combined then the vendors should too. They dont need to make a new thread for the same type of products in the private classifieds.

give the little guys a chance!! if we were looking for new or retail things, we would check out the vendors section, or just call you. but if were looking for things private sellers are trying to get rid of for waaaaaaaaay below ratail, we look in the classified section. im not against vendors doing local specials in the regional classifieds, but keep it to a minimum. that section is for the private sellers IMHO.

That's rediculous reasoning IMO. Members don't pay dues...I didn't make that rule. GS has put a lot more into the boards than I have.....for sure. But they've also taken A LOT more out. They pay for vendor status so they can sell through the boards. They get ad space and vendor forum space. That's what they pay for....and they get PLENTY in return. I know how much GS did in the last quarter in sales and it's a HELL of a lot more than they put into the board. No boards....no GS. Simple as that. They would not have the business they have if it weren't for board presence. That's why the do it.

Vendors should play by the same rules as members.

I'm probably going to get banned, but oh well, who cares, don't surf or post much here anymore anyway *shrug*. +infinite.

i understand ray's point but at the same time Gary makes a good point too.. he wants to target a region by posting in their classifieds. makes sense to me on both parts.

if you look at classifieds in the paper, both private party and businesses post in there.

Bottom line is that there is no reason to clutter the classifieds. If you have some specials then you should make one thread to post the month's specials for the shop or however often the shop decides to do specials. It's definently not fair for us personal non-shop folks to see our ads fall down the page just because a shop wants to post several threads when most people are asked to do a general thread for our parts. I think a vendor should be allowed to post in the regional classifieds but please have some courtesy to the rest of the population.

This is a really stupid statement. First and foremost, never has this board ever asked for any contributions from it's members. Members which would gladly help support thier community. In fact, if members had to pay for thier VIP status or what ever, with yearly dues, in addition to vendor support, a board could be established to oversee those funds and hold more club events. Instead this "club" is a business. A business in which very little of the funds that are earned from this board trickle to it's members. Server fees and maintenance, that's about it.
Vendors pay to play here, yet they should still observe the rules and restrictions that are put on all of us. Double posting, cross posting, multi-posting.
A good example is the OAKOS thread. One thread, one post, up-teen hundred replies, and still going strong. Take the Dead pedal thread one post, hundreds of replies still going strong. It's just not necessary. We know GS, and what thier about.

Ok guys, we definitely got the message! First off I want to apologize for cluttering the forums. From this point forward we will do our best to consolidate and combine threads! As always, please check out our vendor forum or call for the best "local" deals.

Thanks!!
