**** jack ramps, buy a $30 floor back and some jack stands. $50 is a small price to pay to not kill yourself or totally ****up your car.

I needed ramps for the swabar/endlink install. Can't be done with no load on the suspension. They work fine for oil changes too, but if one is going to do regular maintenance, a good jack is a must.

That factor primarily depends on the type of bushings used on the end link design and set up.

The Whitelines I now have are poly with inserts and the instructions specifically stated not to unload the suspension when installing them. The Perrins I had previously didn't really care because they were heims and allowed for a lot of misalignment.

It can be done if you jack up lower control arm.

Yeah, if you have them and if they are high enough. Otherwise adjusting on jacks with wheel removed is easier IMHO.

If you buy ramps that aren't tall enough to work on your car, you have a different problem. In my case, I do happen to have them too. Had them for my previous car because it was too low for my jack, but bought new ones with extensions for the WRX.

Notice what? That you should use wheel chocks with a jack so the car doesn't move once it is up ESPECIALLY with a scissors jack? Doesn't matter if you jack it up using something other than the jack point though.

I thought you where saying that was a ramp. After reading your post again it does not infer that in anyway.

Correct but jacking control arms are easier if you are not working on your car (don't want to) by getting under it (crawling under).
