Almost any JDM style exhaust will visually attract cops, and unless you're running something by Fujitsubo almost all JDM style exhausts are pretty loud. Hate to say it but you gotta pay to play. It is unfair that imports get more crap compared to domestics.

 

At least you didn't get sent to the ref. They were actually nice.

yea.. at least you didn;t get state ref. things could have been worse. cops have jobs to do just like everyone else and not all of them go after imports only.

 

dude. you gotta pay to play. you cant go buy a hooker on the street, then come crying when you "contracted" something, you payed to play. same thing here. you have exhaust, youre gonna garner attention, plain and simple. not to be a dick, but either take it off, leave it on and pay, or crawl under a rock. they wont find you there.

 

What stuff do they test at the state ref? Also if you get ticketed and then tested and you are under 95 db, then what happens?

 

you basically gotta return your car to stock and take a day to go to the state ref

 

The state ref really didn't care much on mine. They do have to test if your car will pass SMOG. Some test for db. They then give you a piece of paper to give to the judge.

 

It's not illegal if he didn't touch the cats or if it's below 95db. Otherwise, oh well.

The problem is the shinny cans. As soon as cops see that, they can do whatever they want. Even if you present a piece of paper showing that all is legit, they will usually send you to the ref. Sooo, if you put something on the car that attracts cops, you better bet you're getting stopped. It doesn't matter if you have a suit on, your poker face or your 90 year old grandmother in the car.
