How is it that my brother in law does 8 years in the military with 2 deployments and he doesn't qualify for unemployment.

But someone that comes to this country illegally, never pays taxes and generally makes no effort to contribute can get all the money and help they need. Or some douche can pump out 15 kids and hand them over to their mom and the mom can get $1500 a kid a month while the mom is still raising them living high off the hog.

Grrrrr.

 

This is why I ask the people that are so high on getting troops home and cutting military budgets the same question...

how high is the unemployment rate where you live?

Don't blame the illegals, blame the people in office, that have the power to change things around, but rather pass bills that will aid someone that 'donated' a bunch of money to aid their campaign

Because unemployment is as twisted and messed up a system as the military service in this country.

We're a society driven by greed and consumerism. Live with it or GTFO. I'm planning on the latter.

I don't... well, not completely. If someone told you could could have everything for free why not take it. It's not their fault the programs exist to be taken care of and it's not there fault that there are people that specialize in taking advantage of these programs to teach you how to do it. Just go visit L.A. They're not hard to find.

I blame americans for allowing this to happen. Our culture has gotten to be overtollerant, over p.c. if you will. We're the new step on us... the new france. The only difference is we still have soldiers out there willing to kick *** for all these ****s that don't care about them.

I don't believe they started during the new deal but they were expanded upon. It's been a while since I aced recent american history so I could be off a bit.

I do blame illegals. Only reason why I can say this is because my own parents did it the right way, pay all taxes and everything. I dont believe that anyone who doesnt pay can accesd tax money to pay their expenses. Something I will always be biased to. I don't say get rid of them but shouldn't mean they have access for everything we pay for. I'm just lucky I can still live at home. I haven't found a job yet.

 

What about the imbeciles that passed the laws which allow non-citizens to take advantage of citizen resources?

I know plenty of illegals that contribute more to our society than the majority of native-born Americans I have met.

 

So do I. That's why I also talked about the people popping out kids and taking advantage of it. There are plenty of american's taking advantage of it.

I try to be a bit understanding about it as I was on unemployment a long time and my family would not have made it without it. But I also applied for north of 300 jobs in the process. From one day jobs to full time jobs. Including jobs making 25% of what I was making before I got laid off... again. It is a very good program when it's used as it should be.

There are tons of illegals that are busting their butts to make a life for their family but even they should be going through proper channels. The right way is laid out but the wrong way is easier.

I remember a story about a Filipino family a few years back. They had been here like 25 years or something like that. Had a business. Put all their kids through college, etc. Then they got deported under the 9/11 frenzy. Those people were doing it right...except the paperwork, ss numbers, etc. Do it right. Pay taxes. Be accountable. Etc. I'm talking about those that are NOT doing it that way. There are hundreds of thousands of them and we just made it easier for them this week.

Those not doing it right aren't all illegal. In fact I'd venture to guess that most of them aren't. Vultures are vultures.

 

The idiots who allow those laws to pass will exist regardless due to the fact that they have an.endless supply of money and are not worried about those who are struggling to do it the right way. They get majority of votes because voters think that non tax payers should have access to support. They are rhe ones to blame also.
