saw couple of lighting bolts on my way home after the detail day...

got few drops (like 3 drops) of rain as I got closer to SJ and that was it...

 

I was in Marysville (kinda near Sac) doing some dirt bike racing, hot as hell probably 100+ and all of a sudden there was about 5 minutes of huge cold drops of water

it was awesome

 

Spent the weekend in Watsonville and Santa Cruz. Big drops yesterday around noon, then on and off for the next few hours coupled with thunder and lightning. Weird.

i worked this weekend at the north nevada rally.

out in the desert, it was hot and sunny. then the clouds rolled in...

there i was, less than 20 feet from the course, and as a car comes flying by, between them and me was lightning hitting the ground!!!!!!!!

and of course, i had in my hand, was my handheld ham radio, connected to an antenna on the roof SUV....
