I will set you up with a loaner camera for the day. Nikon D100 and a lens suitable for parking lot shots.

If you are interested in driving ahead for some shots there are some difficulties associated with that - The subbies tend to drive very close together for some reason (insecurities??) and there are no turnouts for the first several miles along the route. However if you are willing to flaunt the law :O then you can stand along the road somewhere. 2003 I parked pretty close to Grant park along the edge of the road.

Cool. Sounds good...I've been wanting to check that camera out anyways. My 35 is a nikon. Sharing lenses would be a bonus. I'll dig up one of my tripods. In process of moving.

I can take off ahead of the D&B crew and shoot some pictures. There's a couple of decent areas on the way up that if I'm ahead of the pack I can pull out. If I can find a place to look down or get a little lower than the street I'd love to get the shots.

I know...shoot can't remember his name....black wagon from the hammy drive. He shoots some good shots. If we split up I bet with 2 positions we could get some good shots.

My email is Ray@orangepeal.com

I need to get a new digital. Damn thieves.

yeah...if we don't get mag coverage with pictures from that thing something is wrong. Even if I suck I'll get a few really good ones cause the camera powns me. haaa.

I nearly got the f100 but ended up with the N70. Decent SLR. Nothing special. I prefer more manual stuff. I'd love an F5. Buddy had one. Some of the best photos I ever shot where on the 2 rolls I spun through that camera...and I can't find the negatives...errrrr.

Hey all,

First off, I'm sorry I can't make your meet personally. My family is originally from the Bay area and I would have loved to have come down. However, the West Coast Subaru Show guys asked for our commitment a year ago. I didn't know about the Mt. Hamilton meet until a couple weeks ago. Can't do much about that now.

Next year we need to make sure all the major shows don't overlap

There is still the possibility that I'll be able to send one of our editors, but I'm still not 100% certain.
