Thumbs up WRX vs M3...At the track!

HEy,
I'm just curious how many fellow Suby owners have had a go with an older BMW M3? I posted my experiance with a few M3 owners, most are buds of mine, and a bit of a battle ensued. Just scrool through, most of my posts are on the 2nd and 3rd pages.

A little preview...

"its not your turbo that is the problem, it is the awd... if u dont have a good launch(from a stop) on an awd, chances are youre gonna get smoked, unless ur in an sti and racing a pinto"

"I just testdrove an 06 wrx and couldn't get over the poor steering feel and the crappy interior quality/materials and the poor body panel alignment. The other thing is that the clutch was smoking when we got back to the dealership, and I didn't launch it or take it above 4k.... I'm not saying that they're not a good car, they have amazing power potential. It's kinda like the old 5.0 mustangs, where you can make them go really fast for cheap, but at the end of the day, you're still driving a mustang."

e36 m3 vs a stock wrx is mostly a drivers race. I've ran a dinan stage 2 m3 before and all i had was uppipe, turboback, engine management and I walked him pretty bad. e46 m3 is another story. i've ran a ton of these and all you need is a vf30 to pull on them, all at the track of course....

Yeah, this one e36 M3 was screwing around with me once, revving and then launching. I wasn't even trying and going around 2/3 throttle and kept up with him the whole way while I was laughing my head off.

I can't launch my suby that well, and I've smoked every single car that's ever tried to go against me. (then again most of them weren't that fast like a GS430 and a Mustang GT) I mean, I REALLY suck, with the crazy bog it'd be better if I launched as if I normally drive when the light turns green. IMHO, M3s aren't all they're cracked up to be.
