I have a bunch of respect for the evolution line up, almost as much as the subie line up. I don't see a need to hate on the evo line up... Hell, if I had the money I'd have an EVO and an STi... talk about indifference!

But yeah, I never understood the rivalry between the two. They are both really great cars that out perform almost all cars on the road today, there's no reason to hate on either. Im glad Im not alone here.

We can however hate on the base model lancer, and they can hate on our base model impreza because neither car performs well compared to their big brothers.
Honestly, I've never been able to comprehend why people think their car is "the best." There is always going to be a car that is better in some aspect.

Like i said, current owner was not the original one, and the current one seems cool, not a douchebag.

Yeah, their car may be THEIR favorite, the best TO THEM, but its not nearly the best car out there. If they had a Bugatti Veyron, then they can claim that title, but even then people can debate whether that car is the best due to it's price and practicality.

So no matter what car you drive, it's not the BEST.

I bet that car has some things done to it, it's just hiding it and not flaunting it.
Good point Bruce, Now that you mention it my buddy is the same way with his RS.

To be honest, My plate was not to bash on EVO owners, Although it seems like it. Mine was to create humor among fellow enthusiast. I went to a EVO meet 1 time in San Mateo with my friend, He told me to drive my STI so I did. They all got a kick out of it. Most EVO owners are cool, but theres a small grouo that are A-Holes
