More like 2012 It's on the WRC's rotating schedule so it only takes place every two years.

VIP is only $115 this year. I dunno what you guys thought about the VIP last time but I feel as though we got our money's worth.

 

To each his own. We had such a good time, I can't let statistics, make my decision. When I mentioned to my wife this morning she was like "hell yeah!!!"

 

so how does this work? Does everyone just meet up once they make their own way down there or does a group go togeather and get the same hotel n such?

 

Last time we went we all met at SF and left together. I think my wife and I will leave from SJ this time. As the Hotel goes, and I'm sure the other will agree The Holiday Inn Leon (Not convention center) was a great place to stay. I'm certain this is where we will be again. As rental cars go, It's up to you. We are going to do some sight seeing again so we will get a rental. Guanajuato is not too far from there and it is just amazing. Getting out to the stages is tougher than one might think. We found ourselves dodging boulders, 4x4s, crossing streams, steep downhills, It was an offroad adventure in a barely offroad capable vehicle. It's a full days adventure, but one I'll do again. We rarely rolled out in both cars. Only when we went separate ways. Personally I'm not about to run a shuttle service between the airport and the hotel. Once you make the trip you'll see why. It's dangerous, very dangerous. Imagine 101 with pedestrians.

I dunno if we are going to get the VIP package again. I thought it was worth it. This year it is only $115. Cheap

 

if we win the lotto, we'll go. otherwise, we'll probably have to wait.

1) Guanajuato is a long, LONG way from Juarez and Tijuana.

2) People get killed all over, Oakland and SF are statistically not much safer than Mexico, even including bad places like those mentioned.
