Torpedo planes, if I recall correctly. Practical AA and AS missiles didn't exist back then (unless you count unguided rockets as "missiles").

The Evo owner slammed the car door on the vet as the vet climbed into the vet's car? Or as the vet tried to climb into the Evo? And in that story, when did the spray painting happen?

Who gives a **** about who's stupider... if there weren't laws/consequences for retaliating against perpetrators I know a lot of you would be agreeing with the EVO owner. I am currently on my 8th year of enlistment in the military AND I am Asian-American. This guy is a disgrace to veterans.

I believe he came out and the Vet was spray painting the car and he tried to get away in his Van and the guy slammed the door on his leg.

What Jodice112 said. He caught the vet in the act, there was an exchange of words, vet shoved, he hit the vet, vet tried to escape back to his car, Evo owner slammed the door on the vet's leg. At least that's what the Evo guy said in his thread.

I'm just glad that we drive "Subaru's" and not "Nakajima's".

Hmm, so given the younger guy's attitude and language in the video, it seems plausible that he was acting in an aggressive manner. So the vet could claim self defense, yes?

Well the vet pushed him, called him racial slurs and then he spat on him then tried to run back to his vehicle to escape. You could say that the Evo owner acted in self defense because he didn't know if the vet had a weapon in his car or not.

But then again I'm not an attorney so what do I know.

But if the Evo owner acted in an aggressive manner after seeing the car, but prior to the vet spitting and pushing...

1. The vet was damaging private property when he was confronted. (vandalism/ hate crime)
2. After being confronted the vet called the owner racial slurs. (all a hate crime)
3. The vet then spit on the owner and pushed him. (assault)
4. At that point the driver attempted to protect himself and broke the vet's nose. (self defense)
5. The vet tried to flee the scene of a crime and the driver stopped him from operating a vehicle by closing the door on him and broke his leg. The driver did not know if he was going for a weapon in the car and was protecting himself. (Self defense)
6. After the vet was under control, no more damage was done to him and there were no direct threats made to him and the police were called.
That's a quote from one of the guys on that thread. But we have no clue if the Evo owner showed aggression to the Vet before the spit/push.

That's what seems like the crucial point, IMHO. I sincerely doubt it it was an "Excuse sir, do you mind sharing with me what you are doing with my car and a can of spray paint?" situation.

For the record, I'm not advocating the actions of the vet

Looks like they made it private, probably due to the large volume of people who were going on their site.
