would you run 93oct gas for $7.50 more per tank?

well...

without any engine tuning... if u run race gas it would be best to reset ur ecu ( unplug neg bat ) then let it idle for a while to let ur ecu remap all ur settings...

but with engine tuning, ie - ecutek / utec / cobb u might have the ability to switch with the push of a button, a higher octane map...which works a lot better than just replugging the ECU

If it's from KLOTZ, I would not put it into my SUBARU.

A friend of mine put some KLOTZ Octane Booster on a stock WRX, stock boost, stock everything. Oh yeah it was powerful, but the spark was so hot that it melted the piston.

WTF is "concentrated race gas"? Like, you take the water out first? hahaha Do I have to add water to make it work? 3 cans of water for one can of "concentrated race gas"? What is this, frozen orange juice?

OK... silly jokes, yes they are. But appropriate. Just spill it. What are you trying to sell? Right now, you could give it to me for free and I wouldn't put it in my tank.

'm working on more solid info for you guys... If I knew I would tell you. The answer I got so far was kinda like "secret recipe" A mix of some "processed disstilates".

There's nothing listed on the sample bottles I got. Just says conentrated unleaded race gas. The guy I talked to that owns the company clearly knew way more about fuel than I do and I believed him when he said "no it's not harmful, it's just the opposite".

If it's as magic as it seems like it is then telling everyone what it's made of wouldn't be a very smart bussiness move. So I understand why he doesn't want to tell me. I'll talk to him tomorrow and see if I can't get some data.

I just figure that if we're all going to run on it... someone has to get it into bottles that can easily be caried and put into fuel tanks. I have the means to do it at my shop.

I'm not selling anything yet. I'm gauging interest to see if I want to drop for another barrel and start a little side deal. I couldn't give it to you now if I wanted to... I've already used up what I got and only have a small portion of what's on it's way.

16 ounces ups over 2 full octane ratings for an otherwise full tank? Let's do a little math

Round off your tank to 16gal and fill it with 91, minus 16oz. To make that tank be 93, the last 16oz needs to have an octane rating of 347!

Alright... now you guys are just mocking me... Have at it

But don't say it can't be done. It's not hard for me to believe that a fuel can be dramatically changed with an ounce to a gallon.

Give it a chance, I'm doing this for us... not just me you know. Let's see if we can make it happen. I am not trying to get rich. I don't have that kind of time and energy to throw twards this. I'm just trying to solve the most common car problem we all share.

Crappy CA gas

Hey Ash, stop trying to defend yourself, heh. I'm not getting on your case, even if you were trying to "make a buck". But, do you realize how rediculous this sounds? It sounds as absurd as 30 rear wheel horsepower form the Tornado insert. How do you know what the octane rating is of this stuff?

you say you are trying to gauge interest on wether people will buy this. unless you tell everyone what this "secret recipe" contains, then no one, or very few will even try it.

you are claiming this secret company has this secret 350 octane unleaded gas and we are supposed to just trust that. makes sense to me.

people aren't mocking you. they just want to know what it is that you want them to put in their gas tank. not to much to ask for. your friend at the secret company better start telling you something or no one will buy it.

Btw - I'm not saying it can't be done. But thin kabout the price increase from 87 to 91. IIts usually at least 30 cents per gallon. Now I wont claim that the relationship between price and octane is linear, but the reason why 91 is more expensive is because you are getting a product that takes more raw resource to produce and puts out less final product. The higher the octane, generally the greater the disparity between input and output for the refining process. So, yeah, there are some insanely high octane fuels out there... yes, even in the hundres. But they are incredibly expensive! I can't see how your product can be what it is or do what is claims for $7.50 per tank.
