Would it be bad to run an AP map while im still breaking the car in?

That throttle response problem on my 07 is killing me, and I already have the AP sitting in my garage. I really want to upload a map to fix it while the car is still being broken in to get rid of the problem because I can't wait another 800 miles. Would this be bad during break in? It's not like I'm running stage 2 or 3 or even a catback during the break in period, it'll be stock, but with a map to fix the notorious 07 throttle response problem.

Before you plug in your AP, read this first:

Get this free Technical Service Bulletin reflash done first, then break in the car, then plug in the AP after you've put some more miles on it (i.e. after first scheduled oil change).
Thanks for the info I knew about that reflash from the 80 page thread on iwsti and nasioc, but that reflash helped some people, but after a while it comes back or it does not help it completely. The AP tune will get rid of it completely according to people that did it after they werent satisfied with Subaru's reflash. Stevens creek subaru is also being very hesitant about giving me that reflash like most dealerships are. Most deny a problem existing too and call it "turbo lag" (obviously its not)

I'll talk to them again and see what I can do.

But would it hurt the car to load a different tune before break in period is over?

I'll see what I can do though

I'm not 100% sure, but I think a dealer tech can detect how many times the ECU has been reflashed by using his fancy SOA scanner, and if evidence of a similar number of reflashes is not noted in your vehicle's warranty history report, you're busted.

I would suggest contacting a reputable tuner or two and get their professional opinions.

Thanks for the info
