I just finished it. It's a great book!

I dressed up in a full on biosuit and gasmask last year for halloween (zombie defense force). Got some funny looks on the motorcycle (gas mask fit over the helmet), covered in blood with a bloody baseball bat in a makeshift sling.

 

I'll be waiting for the inevitable movie adaptation.

 

You can expect it in around 2 years. It will probably have brad pitt in there in some way. His company bought it.

Just got done with WWZ... excellent! I like the focus on the human factor of survival in the new zombie era.

Rumor is there's a WWZ movie coming out?

WWZ would make an EXCELLENT COD:MW2 campaign. (campaigne, as opposed to just a mini game) Especially starting from the failed defense at Yonkers, the various survival stories, to the push back, various implementations of the Redeker Plan (both bait and the retreat), and finally reclaiming of Manhattan.

I would like to see less "speed zombie" and more "must kill head" gameplay. Where body shots might cut limbs, but they'd turn into crawlers and such... you still have to KILL THE BRAIN.

That would be fun. Heh.

I read WWZ a couple years ago, and absolutely loved it. I pitched it to my girlfriend, who thinks my love of zombies is retarded, but she eventually read it and now recommends it to friends! Of course I've also read the Survival Guide, and finished the first compendium (I think 1-48) of The Walking Dead.

Also, I would really recommend I Am Legend to anyone. I found it to be a bajillion times better than the movie, and it's a really quick read.
