Vince at Omega tinted one of my cars back in the day. Got a pretty good deal on the tint, but the dot matrix could've been done better. And there were a few tiny bubbles.

If you can afford it, go with a high end ceramic tint like Pinnacle F1 over a dyed ceramic tint.

I will admit that his time management does kinda suck and you gotta schedule an appointment way in advance.
He did mine for $100...

Back then a sedan was $185 and wagon $205.

So $180 sounds good.

Shop recommendations all depends on where your located.. I personally work along side at a tint shop in SF doing the mechanical and audio work here. Speedzone on San Bruno ave is where I've been going along with friends since high school. Joe is the one who does most of the tint work here, and has done all my cars, familes cars, friends cars. We use Johnson Films with a life time warranty against bubbles and fading (scratches are not covered)

Price for a hatch would run you around $250,

If you decide to swing by I would suggest making an appointment and be expect to leave your car here for a few hours. Due to the shop layout along with other customers cars doing audio / alarm, the extra wait sometimes come from moving in and out cars through a ONE garage door.

If you are making decisions, do some research on film quality.. There are lots of commercial grade films and each one has their own flaws. For example, heard stories of 3m films fading and hazing up over time along with bubbles.

Good luck, looks like u already made your decision but I'm sure someone else would ask for tint advice later here..

+1. I've had him do 5 of my cars now and I will continue to have him do all of them.

About how much extra $ is it to remove old tint before putting new stuff on? (This would be for my 04 sedan so only 5 windows)

here here! Although the Rocky Mtn I know is in Fremont off Thorton/Moraine...been there for decades too!

I got my SRP bugeye wagon done from them (and my wife's Civic, my old 91 CRX DX, 88 CRX Si, my bro's Toyota pick up, his 4 Runner, his G35 coupe, his Benz C500)

Been using using them since the early 90s...Korean husband and wife team..I think they have lifetime warranty on no bubbling, peeling, etc

make an appt though cuz they're always busy...you can also negotiate especially if you're bringing in two cars.

Call and ask Romel. Had him do that on my truck. It wasn't that much more than the tint, maybe $20/window (or might have been $20 to remove both, don't remember), but I only had him fix the front 2 because the passenger one was really bad - bought it like that and he did a great job fixing it.
