Generally speaking you'll be good to go. If you had an insurance towing policy like I do they're sometimes not so easy to deal with.

The policy with a lot of them is that they will tow it to the nearest dealership/mechanic for that given vehicle. I had to have my wife's VW towed from Santa Cruz to Watsonville and the dude seriously wrote down Ray's Garage as the name of the shop it went too so they wouldn't think to question it.

AAA usually doesn't care. A lot of it is on the driver and they don't usually care. But some are lazy dicks.

Yes they will, I have them do it 4 times in the last year with couple low cars, when I call in I state that the car is low they had always got me a good driver that sure knows how to handle low cars...

in some of our cases it isntt the driver thats the issue. i could care less if my front lip gets scraped while loading onto a flat bed.i can see where the liability comes in. say the driver cracks your lip, Subaru or any other body shop wont cover the damages caused by the driver since its not stock height. if it was stock height, i can see Subaru rapairing your car free of charge and AAA prob has connections with diff dealers for instances where a car is damaged due to loading/unloading.

dont take my word. im just saying what happened to me, what AAA DIDNT do, and how when i think about it, it does make sense on some level. i mean it would be cool if AAA had a "IDGAF about loading a lowered car on flat bed" policy. lol

every lowered car I've owned AAA has towed. Some drivers are good and will do their best not to mess up your car. but they will make you sign a release of liability so if they do ruin your car they are not responsible. careful though drivers become a-holes real quick when they have to go long distances. one guy tried to wrangle a fat tip out of me.. lol

thats understandable. signing off liability. i woulda have done that in a heartbeat had he even told me about that...i even asked the douche. i knew it didnt make sense that AAA wouldnt tow my car. i wouldnt even mind paying a lil extra on my premium so i could actually count on them. now that i know there is actually a way to release liability....schmeh!

Same here. They have towed 12 cars for me that I can specifically remember. Since owning two SAAB 9-5 Aero wagons, they told my I was shut down for a while last year though (LOL?). Oddly enough, the SAABs were the hardest cars for them to tow out of lowered Subarus, Toyotas and my Maxima that was really low. The SAAB 9-5 has a very long front overhang and a low-hanging aluminum oil pan. One driver could not to tow it because he couldn't figure it out, called another, and the next guy showed up and did some cool tricks and got it on no problem. In over 10 years of being an AAA customer I have never had an issue, and never had to sign a release of any sort. Usually get flatbeds though.

AAA has saved me on many occasions, and one time when my automatic Aero wagon died in Palo Alto, they even gave me, my wife, my daughter and my dog a ride to our door after dropping off the car at the shop. I always tip, and the drivers have always been pretty great. When my 4x4 Justy crapped out at 101 south of SF near Candles Dick coming back from RallyX, this lady was bombing down HWY1 w/ my Justy on a flatbed being totally awesome and proving that most people literally cannot drive to save their lives.

I've had AAA come and tow a car with no engine from someone else's house to a shop. The car wasn't even registered yet.

The driver told me with lowered cars, if it doesn't go up the flat bed angle I'm SOL. But he was careful, did what he could to do make it work (probably had a 1/4 in before I would have rubbed the bed), and got it on easily. My car isn't that low though, my bumper can clear most curbs.
