What really drives me mad is I was contemplating taking up two parking spots to avoid situations such as this.... but, my conscience was telling me not too b/c i would be labeled as the "douche-bag" who took up two spots...

trust me i know how you feel , my car was recently painted , i see some door dings on it already and minor scratches from when people walk by and their keys or backpack scratch the paint.

 

See, that would bug me more if I just recently paid to get my car re-painted and someone scratched or dented my car! I've got original paint so I just learn to cope with it.

 

In my experience, if you try to call the cops for a door ding they don't like it much.

Some people just don't give a crap about cars and they just don't pay attention when opening their doors. Just like people who say "bumpers are for bumping" in reference to parallel parking.

I typically try to park away from other people, but this doesn't often work either.

 

Should have turned her into soup, ala Mexican cartel.

 

Should have stopped the car put your coat or shirt on the edge of the door and slammed yours into hers... then drove away.

 

That sounds about right for Oakland.

 

Yup, I def hate Oakland.... full of scum and villainy....
