The test vehicle for our latest E85 drive was a 2010 Ford Expedition EL, one of about 50 E85-compatible 2010 models now sold in the United States. More are on the way. Ford, for instance, will dramatically expand its number of ethanol burners when it launches E85-compatible EcoBoost turbocharged engines in 2011.
Looks like around a 5% gain in a regular car is the consensus:

You are trippin. Please post the link where you read that. Umm and Silverado HD are diesels.
I did go on Chevy's website and saw nothing stating that E85 gives you a boost in HP/TQ
But if someone posts proof I'll gladly admit Im wrong

E85 is 105 Octane... vs standard pump 87 Octane. This allows the Flex Fuel cars to run much more aggressive timing and could make more power
Sidebar - it really pissed me off that the Corvettes aren't flex fuel.

"There is no requirement to post octane on an E85 dispenser. If a retailer chooses to post octane, they should be aware that the often cited 105 octane is incorrect. This number was derived by using ethanol’s blending octane value in gasoline. This is not the proper way to calculate the octane of E85. Ethanol’s true octane value should be used to calculate E85’s octane value. This results in an octane range of 94-96 (R+M)/2. These calculations have been confirmed by actual-octane engine tests." my question is....is there any place to get E98? I've heard the 'blend' at the pump can vary a bit, and some people are just buying E98 and just mixing it with 91 down to E85 on their own.
Anyone DD'ing E85 in the south bay? Anyone running high HP on E85 around here? I'm thinking of switching over for the rally car.
