Does anyone know why there are no E85 stations on the Peninsula?
Propel's corp HQ is in Redwood City for christsakes

Is there some sort of environmental stuff preventing in the stations from going in, or has no one jumped on it?

Seems like the Stanford Hippies in Palo Alto would eat that stuff up.

They are about to break ground on a E85 station in Palo Alto, expect it to be pumping at the end of Febuary. Looking at a station in Mountain View as well.

 

Just drove by the Chevron on Capitol Expressway almost directly across from Capitol Mitsubishi. The sign said E85 for $2.89 a gallon. FYI!

 

I have talked to the manager of propel and they have plans for 2 station in san mateo county, one is in redwood city on woodside rd and they said something about in san mateo also. And it's good for the environmental stuff.

 

The only station close to Livermore is private use only

Who else uses E85? I mean, are there truck lines that use it or something? If it's only a small group of automotive enthusiasts then it's no surprise why there are not more stations.

but i agree, this stuff gives some crazy power.

If I could get my car back and forth from NorCal to SoCal I would consider it...

Well, its a gimmick on all new American cars anyway, maybe its supposed to seem cheaper when gas prices go up

I use it in my company car... new Impala runs on E85 from the factory

 

There are Japanese and German cars that run flex fuel as well. Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Mercedes all have Flex Fuel vehicles.
