I use the kind of cream you need a brush for. Too many types to list. Much better for your face. Shower first, shave second. I can get about a week out of a DE.

You could really cut costs and go with a straight razor. I've got a few for sale if you're interested.

i use the Schick Quatto 4 blade razor with Gillette Mach 3 gel, seems to work alright, the razors are pretty pricey but i try to make them last as long as i can. i've thought about trying a single blade razor like they did in the good old days...just afraid i'll slit my thoat using it.

I wouldn't worry about slitting your throat. Unless you have a seizure.

My barber, who shaves people all the time, told me that he wouldn't EVER shave himself with a straight razor again. He showed me the scar from his first and only attempt. I'm also in the "only need to shave every other day" boat, so the price isn't a huge deal. The new Fusion is super nice too, but blades for that beotch are even more $$$$. I've got a bunch of blades that I picked up from Costco that have lasted me a while and will continue to, but when they run out, off to the Fusion I go.

Yeah I use the $13 mach razors too. They work very well for side burns I must say. It's a PITA for me even though I barely grow stubble so usually can get away with shaving every other day, but Uncle Sam says I have to shave everyday and I need a closer shave or cheaper razors that do the same job so I don't go broke buying this ****!

Otherwise a DE would work great, actually. I've NEVER had one get clogged. Mostly due to the fact that there is nada to clog.
I have a head blade.. it works awesome if you shave every day.

since it uses the cheap disposable blades, they get clogged very easy if you hair has a few days worth of growth.

I usually shave my head once a week or so, Im lazy so I need something that has an open back.

now their shaving cream, head slick, BEST ****ING STUFF EVER!

If you've never had a barber shave your face you're missing out. Strait razor shaves are the isht!

wife hates when I do it thought cause I smell like an old man when I get back from the barber.

I was at Costco a while back and thought this was retarded, but had to share it. The Gillette Fusion comes as 2 different items:

Blades Only - I believe it was 15 blades = $43.99/pack

Blades + Razor - Also, 15 Blades + 1 Basic Gillette Fusion Razor with Blades attached, thus making 16 total blades = $39.99/pack

Now, my numbers and totals may be slightly off, but basically it was CHEAPER to get the Replacement Blades + Razor (and you get 1 more set of blades because they come with the razor) than it was to get the Replacement Blades only.

I couldn't grow a beard if my life depended on it lol. I have to have a clean appearance every day all day anyways, which I prefer.

I came across this guy's info on shaving techniques as well as shaving hardware so if anyone else wants to check it out here ya go.

i use the o.g. gillete sensor. honestly i think anything more than two blades is a bit gimmicky. costs alot less than a mach 3 and the shave is good enough for me, (just a tad under the mach 3, but waaaaay better than disposables) and i shave basically everyday. only problem is that the blades can be hard to find at a regular drugstore. the only places i see carry them all the time is costco and target.

I actually started using my ladies venus razor a few years ago to shave my head. Blades are just as expensive but i think they work better than any other blades I 've used.

here's a little tip; if you want to make your razors last longer after you rinse them keep them soaked in alcohol. Water is what corrodes and makes them dull.
