After reading this, I'm not sure if I want to put my rack back on my car anymore.

The Yakima racks were included with my car when I first bought it, but I'm debating whether or not to put them on. It's a slight hassle to have to take off my wheels and shove my bike in the back seat. Plus, there's a huge chance of getting dirt/grime/grease on the carpet and upholstery.

there should be a # on the face of the cylinder and there are only so many #'s they use.and when i worked at napa VW, Subabru you could order they keys direct by just telling them what number you have no prrof needed. so the prob scoped your rack out then bought a $17 key or had one with the same #

either way lame, you cant even stop a thief anymore. you could of caught them tackled them and called the cops then got sued for assualt. so lame.
theives have more rights then owners.

well lets just send out bad thoughts that they actually used it to go to the snow and the fall a break thier face on the mt.!!

yupp....2 days before Thanksgiving...they took from my EK hatch: EDM/JDM clock, Em Racing c-pillar bar, my tools, sidemarkers, tore my center dash to get the clock and my deck, my tach gauge, and my first mod ever *in highschool when i first got my car*...my Broadway mirror

edit: and oh yeah...my replica TE37 rims....

*sigh* one of the reasons why im not spending anymore money on this car besides gas and maintenance

and yes, i hate thieves with a passion

I live in the berryessa area near sierra. I would usually think it's a fine neighborhood from where I live at. But I live in a court and my car sits in front of my house, in board daylight. I should have seen it coming.

some people just like ****ing with other people. Few kids from my high school would just brake into peoples cars, mostly to make the owner pay for the damages.
